The Kentzler-Kaschner Dental company has used the new construction of the bite blocks to increase patient comfort, since the innovative soft border avoids and eases pressure pain on the soft tissues.

With the RWT^® COLOR SAFETY bite blocks, the last remaining safety risk in the x-ray diagnosis can be eliminated. The radiation exposure, which is limited to the chosen film size due to the use of a rectangular long cone or RWT window x-ray^® COLOR, emerges barely reduced behind the film and this in spite of the integrated lead foil. The Roentgenographic Directive demands of the responsible doctor or dentist to reduce the radiation exposure for the patient to a minimum respecting the necessary aims. Furthermore it demands: […] parts of the body, which are not concerned, […] have to be protected as far as possible against radiation exposure. RWT^® COLOR SAFETY bite blocks offer a radiation barrier directly behind the used roentgenographic medium and absorb efficiently with the integrated lead foil the emerging x-rays: the remaining outlet is limited to the less than 1 % of the applied dose.
